GOLD [FEAT FENMORE] 3:170:00/3:17
Odd Wall is a producer & songwriter from the UK, who has been making waves in the scene with his consistent releases over the past 3 years. With his distinctive sound and unwavering dedication to his craft, Odd Wall has garnered an impressive following over this short period of time.
Raised in Edmonton, London, Odd Wall was massively influenced by Hip Hop, R&B, UK Garage and Drum & Bass, so much so that he spent most of his adult years DJ'ing across the UK and abroad. He has since hung up his headphones and now sits in his home studio in Doncaster writing and producing music.
Odd Wall released his first track Secret Window back in May 2020 and hasn't looked back since. That was followed by Lonely Street feat Barry Hendy, One More Time feat Keybeaux, Hanging On feat Ill Knob and then Mama feat L Papino & JTruthPA before the year was out.
The releases slowed down in 2021 as Odd Wall worked on his debut album Fear. However, he still managed to release a 4 track EP called West Coast Beats which was a love letter to Hip Hops west coast sound as well as a remix of Bring The Stars Closer for Amongst The Pigeons & Emma King. In October 2021 Odd Wall released his debut album Fear featuring artists from all around the world. It topped some independent charts, hit 30,000 streams and sold out of the limited edition CD's. This was followed in December by the track Unsolicited Advice which Odd Wall produced for American rapper Ill Knob.
2022 saw Odd Wall release more dance type tracks with the remixes of Radio feat Oggie being released. The Shadow of Light remix got Odd Wall his first BBC Introducing play on BBC Manchester. That was shortly followed by two drum & bass tracks, Take Me Down feat Azuma & How Many Times? which was picked up by Sian Anderson and played on her BBC 1Xtra show. He also did 2 remixes for Shadow of Light for the tracks All Night feat Spitholic & Charlie Sanderson which got played on BBC Sheffield and Feeling You feat Serena Dench & Tee Total. To celebrate the one year anniversary of his album Fear, Odd Wall released the deluxe edition which featured 8 previously unreleased songs and remixes. It would go on to be streamed more than 45,000 times on Spotify alone. Odd Wall did another production for Ill Knob for the track Keep Believing and then the year was rounded off with with 2 more releases, How Does It Feel feat Oggie which was performed live and broadcasted on BBC Scotland & a UK Garage collaboration with producer Shadow of Light on the track More Than Friends which earned Odd Wall more radio play, this time on Kiss FM UK.
This year Odd Wall has not slowed down, in fact he has taken things to the next level. Collaborating with singer / songwriter Ellen Sara on the track Dreams. It received airtime on BBC Sheffield 3 weeks in a row. Up next was a collaboration with Serena Dench on the drum & bass smash Show Me That It's Real which was once again championed by Sian Anderson on BBC 1Xtra. Odd Wall then remixed Redrum Music & Shadow of Light's Sunshine In My Day which featured on the Shadow of Light debut album Out of the Shadows. In July this year Odd Wall released his second album Imposter Syndrome which peaked at number 4 on the iTunes r&b chart, hit 40,000 streams and sold out the first batch of limited edition CD's. His song Gold feat Fenmore quickly became his most streamed track of all time and receive radio play from Christian Carlisle on BBC Sheffield. Not stopping there, Odd Wall has recently released the single Turning Me On feat JC Napone. A soulful Uk Garage 2 step track which features some brilliant remixes.
No doubt there will be more music before the year is out. Watch this space.
